The
children in the Toddler Group are encouraged in their learning and
development through fun activities and experiences. Our activities are
planned using the guidelines of the Birth to Three Matters framework. This
focuses on four key areas of child development: A Strong Child, A Healthy
Child, A Competent Learner & A Skilful Communicator. An individual Key
Worker is assigned to each child when they join who works in partnership
with each parent. The Toddler room is registered for 12
children.
For those children who are 3 years and over we start
working towards the Foundation Stage, specifically communication skills
and personal, social & emotional skills.
We will assist your
child with toilet training at the appropriate time.
Our daily
routine includes:- free play, structured play, outdoor time, snacks and
drinks, craft activities, role play & dressing up and occasional walks
beyond the Kindergarten walls.
Our weekly activities also include
cookery, P.E., music and drama, for some of these activities we combine
with our older children in Pre School.
