We will endeavour to operate as normal as possible during a pandemic, however, if the Government advise us to close then we will do so.
The Headteacher will make the decision to close having taken advice from the Dorset Health Protection Unit and all parents will be informed accordingly.
If a child becomes ill while at school, they will be cared for separately from the other children in order to minimise contact with staff and other pupils. Parents/ carers will be called immediately should the flu like symptoms appear.
To minimise the spread of infection we will;
Ensure that all pupils wash their hands using soap and water and dispose of paper towels in the bin.
Surfaces will be cleaned regularly.
We will remind pupils to cover their noses and mouths with a tissue and dispose of the tissue in a bin once used.
All classes will have a supply of tissues.
We will observe any pupils with respiratory illness and inform parents to take their child home if necessary and to seek advice from a doctor.
Any staff falling sick will be asked to stay at home and see a doctor before returning to school.
