The Kindergarten

The Kindergarten of St Thomas Garnet's School provides a safe, secure and well-equipped environment for children from the age of 2yrs 9months to 5 years. The Kindergarten occupies a self-contained unit within the School grounds, where we aim to provide a safe, secure and homely atmosphere, to help even the youngest, shyest child settle very quickly. The children are split into groups, age-based, and all of the groups have qualified members of staff to give each of them full attention. This Kindergarten is a Nut Free Zone Outside There is a separate entrance to the Kindergarten from Harvey Road, which is open to arrival and departure times. For safety and security reasons, entry at all other tunes must be through the Main School Entrance in Parkwood Road. We have two enclosed play areas with outdoor play equipment, wheeled toys, picnic benches and a playhouse. These are separated from the Main School by a secure gate and fence. We use the play areas as much as possible during the day and during the summer months many activities can be transferred outside. We also have use of the Main School facilities, including the Games Field, School Hall for Dance/Drama & PE and the Kitchen for cookery. Times Term times only Morning 8:45 am - 12:00 pm ( poss morning extension) Afternoon 12:45 pm - 3:15 pm Children who stay all day bring a packed lunch and are supervised over the lunch period Places are subject to availability at time of registration. Fees (10% reduction for siblings) Pre-School £15 per morning £13 per afternoon £29 all day Toddlers £16 per morning £14 per afternoon £31 all day All fees are payable one month in advance. One month's written notice is required when a child leaves otherwise fees for a month must be paid in lieu of notice. The School is a Registered Provider therefore all four year old children are eligible for the Early Years Grant. Please ask for details. also Subject to certain criteria the Early Years Grant is available for three year old children. Phone 456222 for details.
