Information on Trustees

The School is currently divided into three main departments - Kindergarten (2 Areas) , Infants (4 classes) and Juniors ( 4 classes)

The Kindergarten
provides a safe, secure, happy and well equipped environment for children from three years of age to school age. It is under the supervision of a qualified teacher with a full time assistant. Within its self-contained classroom all the equipment has been chosen to enhance and compliment the teaching of social skills, reading, writing, pre-number skills and constructive play. As the Kindergarten forms part of the School, the children are able to share the facilities of the main school and utilise the skills of the specialist teachers, especially in areas such as Music and P.E. Close liaison between The Kindergarten and Infant School ensures a firm foundation and worry free transition into our main school.

Religious Education
We are a Catholic School. The way we try to live together, the values that matter to us most, are centred on Christ and His Gospel. We try to give your children a good grounding in 'Christian Living'. Good example and putting-into-practice the LOVE OF GOD and OUR NEIGHBOUR are part of the school from start to finish. We work to promote each individual child, offering an environment of love, welcome and respect.

This does not mean that all our pupils are Catholic. We welcome children from other Christian churches and other religious traditions.

Music
The School has a strong flourishing musical tradition. The school is justifiably proud of its success in Bournemouth and Southampton Music Festivals. Pupils are prepared and entered for the Associated Board of the Royal Scholl of Music  in Piano, recorder, violin, woodwind and Music Theory with regular successes at Grade 5.

P.E. and Games
The School offers a wide range of physical activities. Children are encouraged to participate in athletics award schemes.

Our football and netball teams regularly play other local schools.

Parent Teachers Association
The Parents of every child in the school and Kindergarten automatically become members of the P.T.A. and are welcomed to its meetings and functions. The main aims of the P.T.A. are to provide an opportunity for parents to meet socially, encourage awareness of school activities and co-operation between home and school, and endeavour to support the school financially whenever possible.

Study & Sports Club
This runs from 3:15 to 5:30 and provides an excellent extension to the school day. The club is arranged as a very versatile facility for our parents who are invoiced at the end of every half term, thus only being charged for the sessions used. More details available from the school office. A holiday club is also in operation.
